Holy Hell! This last weekend was fuckin crazy yall... We were scheduled to play the late night set Saturday at the 4th Annual Mossy Headz Festival. A few of us went out Friday night to check out some of the other bands and get our camp on. It was beautiful, weather was great, the people were vibin' and the jams were hot!
That is until Saturday morning at 6am when it started raining cats and dogs... It went on for a long enough time that the whole area got soaked pretty well all the way through and some rearranging had to be done on the festival grounds to get camping and vendors out of the flash flood's way! But the die-hard pan handlers wouldn't take 'No' for an answer and just continued to party and perform. Everything looked to be in proper order until someone noticed that even though the rain had finally stopped, the water level from the river was still rising and was quickly threatening to overtake the stage!
One might assume that since the stage was about to be swallowed that would be the end right? WRONG! The crazy nuts moved the festival to the balcony of a house that is on the property and the show just continued on without a break!!! Honestly, I've never seen people so dedicated to anything; it was truly inspiring. But the Box took stage at 2:30am Saturday night (thanks to the help of basically EVERYONE) and played until a record breaking 5:19 in the morning...
Thanks for the memories Mossy Head,
~Con
